Jack now knew escaping from a room he'd been given to sleep in to post a simple entry on some stupid site was a really, really stupid idea. It wasn't his fault every e-mail site he had wasn't working. He'd even tried temporary ones and had been booted out. He'd hit the computer before trying the site, and leaving an entry. He hoped someone read it - they had to know what was happening.

Then the guards came. A bit of flirting, maneuvering and running got him out of the situation and climbing into a vent for the second time that night. He'd even been doing good, having an easy way out as there were no stupid retina scans that he hated so much. He'd gotten so far through the dusty things before they'd heated up and he'd somehow managed to crash into a new hallway.

The hallway had less retina scans though and was part of the main building instead of a sub-section, so he just had to find a window. He was running, guards chasing after him. He'd escaped from his room, broken the vents, smacked a computer for not working and had ended up breaking a guard's nose. It wasn't a good day.

He couldn't quite care though as he raced through an area, skidding to turn and rush through a new door. Alarms were blaring in his ears and he knew someone had to end up catching him. He just wanted to be the one to hurt them.

Extremely annoyed by the interruption of the alarms, the Rani stalked through the main complex. Determined to put an end to whomever was fool enough to break in, she stalked into a meeting room only to come to a somewhat surprised halt as her favorite experimental subject came skidding through the other door. Not a break-in, but a break-out. She'll have to put paid to that quickly, and then...discuss the sloppy work with the responsible parties.

"Leaving so soon, Jack? And here I thought we'd come to a reasonable agreement."

"Damn it," Jack whispered and looked for a way out. Any way out was great. Any what-so-ever... and there was none. His room was back the other way, and retina scans were out of the question. He didn't have anything but reasoning, no matter how insane it sounded.

"What do you want with me?" He was once able to reason his way out of a nation-wide draft. This should've been easy. "You won't find out anything new. You have blood and skin samples and... What else do you plan on doing?" He looked ready to give up and yet he was so far from it. He wanted to scream and fight and kick, but maybe if she believed she'd pity him.

A sly little smirk was all he got for an answer, in the beginning. She leaned casually against the wall and examined his apparent defeat through half-closed eyes, until the moment before the silence would have driven him to speech again. Jack isn't broken...yet. But give her enough time, and she'll have him obedient and well-trained. For now, she would just have to play a little, as she was still feeling out what made him tick.

"What do I want with you? Jack, really. Asking a scientist that question? Why, I've barely begun to examine you properly! All the tests...those were just preliminaries."

Jack scowled and looked behind him. Everything was blocked. Everything. There had to be a way to get out. "Fuck you," he finally hissed at her as he glanced back towards her. He wasn't going to just sit here and get tested on, and let Torchwood be destroyed. No, he had to get the hell away. He just didn't know how.

Ah, but he's an amusing freak. Still defiant, still determined to get away...what a challenge he will be to properly break and perhaps keep for her own. The Master can always create his own monsters to torment the Doctor with - she'll definately help with that. But Jack...she would much rather keep him as her own immortal, unkillable minion.

The Rani smirked at his verbal defiance and decided to tease him a bit until she was ready for the guards to take him away. "Sorry, sex isn't part of the equation right now. Be a good boy and have a seat - you must be exhausted from your failed escape attempt."
